Jamie nodded and walked with him into the living room. "What do you wanna watch?" she asked, flipping the TV on.

Lars sighed. "I don't know. Anything good on HBO?" He asked slowly. He sipped at his drink some more and wiped his eyes.

Jamie shrugged a bit and offered him the remote. "See for yourself," she said calmly. She moved over to the other side of the couch and scooped up some dishes at the end of the coffee table, slipping back to the kitchen to put them away.

Lars channel surfed but nothing was really on. He sighed and finished his drink, a little tipsy by then. After all it was just like having two beers in less then ten minutes. He closed his eyes, too stressed to look at anything.

Jamie frowned a little, coming back and looking at him. "Boss?" she asked quietly. She hoped he hadn't fallen asleep. No offence to him or anything but... she didn't really need her boss sleeping over at her place.

Lars stirred a little and frowned. "Hm?" He asked. "Oh...sorry." He swallowed a little and wiped his eyes.

Jamie frowned a little. "You okay?" she asked. "You want me to drive you home?"

Lars frowned. "Woah woah woah. Home? I can't go home." He said. "What if the guy comes back and changes his mind?"

Jamie frowned a little. "Okay... well were you gonna call your dad?" she asked. "Sort this out?"

Lars frowned and studied her. "Okay okay, I get it." He sighed getting up and grabbing his phone. He dialed his father's cell, knowing he'd still be awake at this time.

Jamie frowned a little. She was worried about her boss's family working with people that would threaten him like this. Was this company really what it seemed?"

It sounded like a long and stressful conversation.
"Dad, I'm serious---I---no I wasn't drinking----who is this guy------yes----yes we did." He frowned and shook his head. "Why would I make this up?"

Jamie frowned a little but gave him some space. She wished she could help but she didn't think there was anything she could do. She poured herself a small glass of wine and sipped it in the kitchen while he was on the phone.

"I'm fucking 32 years old stop treating me like I'm a child!" He snapped. He snarled a little. "Fine. But you talk to him okay?" He hung up the phone. "Great, he thinks I'm lying he thinks I'm fucking lying." He put a hand over his eyes.

Jamie frowned a little, slowly walking back to the living room. "Didn't go well, I take it?" she asked softly.
