Lars shook his head and played with his keys. "No." He said softly. "I don't know what's going on but he knows something's up. I know he does. I feel it."

Jamie frowned a little. "I'm sorry," she said quietly. She licked her lips. "What um.... what do you wanna do?"

Lars sighed a little. "Uhm..." He swallowed. "I guess...just keep your eyes peeled okay?" He asked softly.

Jamie slowly nodded. "Yeah of course," she said quietly.

Lars sighed a bit and shook his head. "So uhm. Should probably be heading home. Thanks for the drink."

Jamie slowly nodded. "You okay to drive boss?" she asked softly.

Lars waved his hand. "I'll be fine." He said. "I'm only just a little knocked."

Jamie slowly nodded. "Okay if you're sure," she said softly. "I'll see you in the morning then."

Lars nodded slowly and swallowed. "Goodnight Jamie." He whispered softly. He slipped downstairs and sighed, getting into his car. He felt a little wooshy, but he didn't want to go all the way back up and ask for a ride. He slowly pulled out and drove down the road as carefully as possible.

Jamie sighed a little and cleaned up a bit, then flipped off the TV and headed to her room. She put on some music and got ready for bed easily.

The next morning, she was in the office early, getting everything ready for Mr Reed's meeting.

Lars mosied on in around eight and sighed. "Jacobson here yet?" He asked nervously, parking at her desk. He looked terrified, and tired.

Jamie shook her head a little. "No," she said quietly. "Not yet, Mr Reed. Everything's ready though." She lightly tapped the files she'd pulled out for him. "Here's all the paper work and I have coffee ready to bring in if he wants it and... I'll be here if you need anything else of course."

Lars nodded slowly. "Can you do me a favor... just for today and then...tomorrow things can go back to normal."

Jamie frowned a bit, studying him, but slowly nodded. "Of course, Mr Reed," she said quietly. "Whatever you need."

"Just...treat me like a friend today. Kind of really need one." He whispered in his fatigue and stress. He swallowed a little and shook his head, looking at the time. "I'll be in my office."
