"I'm sorry. Like I said, I feel like a grandpa to my horse." He chuckled a little bit. "I just want to find her."
There were high pitched neighs in the distance.

Ataline nodded slowly as Charlie perked up his ears. She glanced the way the horse was looking, and then whistled again. At least this time the response seemed a little closer.

Finally, a light grey coat moved in front of the cart and pranced around a little. She neighed high-pitched, stopping when she found the cart.

Ataline pulled Charlie to a stop, and hopped out of the wagon. Geoff practically ran into her in an effort to tell her he was back. Ataline laughed a little and rubbed his ears. "Good boy," she whispered. "Thank you for tracking her down."

Dyre hugged Ivi around the next and kissed her cheek. "Don't run away from me again! Eh girl! You have a baby in your tummy and I care extra for you two."

Ataline glanced at him and smiled, watching them. She dug a sugar cube out of her pocket for Geoff and then helped Dyre tie the horses to the back of the wagon. She hopped back onto the bench again.

Dyre smiled lightly and he hopped into the cart. He moved closer to Ataline and put and arm around his shoulder.

Ataline smiled at him, patting his leg before clicking her tongue at Charlie. "So... since we can't see the mountain... do we want to keep going much tonight?"

Dyre looked around. "No, but we'll stay in the cart. Dose the fire." He said softly. "We can't keep going tonight we need rest."

Ataline nodded. "We can take watch too," she said softly. She pulled Charlie over after a moment and put the brake on the wagon so nothing could go anywhere. "You sleep first," she told him.

Dyre yawned and stretched. "Don't mind if I do." He said with a smirk. He prepared his bed in the cart and closed his eyes tightly.

Ataline watched him for a moment until she was certain he was asleep. She sighed quietly and shook her head, hopping off the wagon and walking over to Geoff. She kissed his forehead before leaning against him. "How come I feel like the bad guy?" she whispered quietly, rubbing the horse's ears. She still felt guilty about her inability to return Dyre's feelings.

Dyre snuggled it, warm under at least floor blankets. But still, it was getting chilly and dropping close to freezing.

Ataline started pacing, pulling out her cloak in the process, and bounced a little to keep herself warm. Eventually she walked back over to the horses, where they had all snuggled up to keep warm, and sat down against Geoff's back, using his warmth to help her.
Halfway through the night, or rather what was left of it, she got up and climbed into the wagon. "Dyre," she whispered softly, touching his shoulder.

Dyre murmured and woek up, his dagger at the ready. He exhaled as he saw her, and smiled. "Hey, your turn eh?" he asked lightly. "okay...get some sleep okay?" He kissed her forehead and got up.
