Skule sighed a bit and leveled his gaze with her. Although it was a placid disagreement and minor irritation, his face certainly played it off as a terrifying and menacing look. "I don't rest for long." He said slowly. "I'm sorry for trying to help. You have to understand that Doran is the type of man you take with a grain of salt." He paused to push back his receding yet stunningly dark hair with a gloved hand. "But as you wish...milady."

Doran

Lyne froze at that look, chilled to the bone. She swallowed, but then slowly forced herself to take a step back. She turned and managed to walk away, although every fiber of her being wanted to sprint as quickly as she could.
After she was sure she was out of sight though, she did run for a long ways. She climbed up another tree, and as high as she could get.

Skule sighed and shook his head. Perhaps he had been a bit harsh. He knew the looks of frightened people.
He moved back to the clearing and dipped his face in his arms. He ... had really only tried to help.

It wasn't until morning that Lyne returned. She didn't say a word, her hood down lower than usual, her scarf over her face again. She pulled her pack on and stood, leaning against a tree, waiting for them to be ready.

Doran hopped down from the tree and mosied over. "Hey crybaby." He snorted, looking to Skule.
The man, who had shrouded his face again, simply looked over and shook his head. He stood. "Let's get moving."
Doran shrugged. "fine by me."

Lyne glanced to Skule briefly, but simply pushed off the tree. She started off towards the east once again, in silence.

Doran walked briskly, chewing on some jerky he had saved. Skule kept his distance though, keeping his head down. "So." Doran said. "How long till we're out of here?"

Lyne glanced over at him. "Tonight," she said simply.

"And we'll be near the road?" He asked curiously. "Anywhere with an actual bed and some food? Maybe a bath?"

Lyne shrugged. "That's up to you to find," she said quietly.

Doran sighed. "Got you." He said slowly. He looked back to Skule. "Geez Lyne what did you do to him?" He snorted. "Never seen the hunk of bones so down."
"She has done nothing." Skule said.

Lyne frowned, glancing down for a moment. But she pushed on, picking up her pace without a word.

Doran sighed. "You two I swear are the most depressing people I've ever met." He murmured.

Lyne pushed on harder, silently, discreetly wiping her eyes.
With the quick pace she set, by sundown, they had come to the edge of the forest, and she stopped at the treeline.

Skule stepped slowly to the line. "Well." He said softly. "We might as well rest here for tonight." He said softly. He hadn't spoken all day. "Milady Lyne, I would invite you to stay with us but I understand if you wish to leave."
Doran smiled. "We can make turtle soup." He said, pulling out a turtle he had caught.
