Darius made sure the fire was warming up the room, then slid back under the covers with her. "At least some of the queen's passions aren't so bad," he said good naturedly, picking up a piece of bacon.

Selene laughed lightly and grabbed a mug of tea. She smelled it first, but then sipped it. She turned to him and smiled as he ate. "I love you."

Darius grinned at her after swallowing a bite of toast. "I love you," he said. "How did you sleep?"

Selene smiled. "Great. You couldn't tell by my lack of motivation for getting up?" She laughed and kissed him. "You?"

Darius smiled. "Not bad," he said. "You're comfy." He ate quietly for a moment, then looked up at her. "What do you want to do tonight?"

Selene shrugged. "I don't know." She smiled. "Anything we have to do tonight?"

Darius thought for a moment. "I ought to check in with my father," he said softly. "Make sure there isn't anything. You could come with, might impress him. Although he loves you already."

Selene smiled. "I didn't do anything to warrant his love. Only yours." She kissed his cheek and laughed. "But I'll come with you of course." She put her tea down and grabbed something to eat.

Darius smiled. "Well he wouldn't have even concidered your father's offer if he didn't at least like you," he told her. "And so you know, the king, and my father are very different. Kind of like me and Seth, but not to that extreme. He's much nicer when it's just us."

Selene smiled. "Really? I've only met the king I guess then. Not that he wasn't nice or anything I am just guessing." She grabbed her tea again, liking the how warm it was. "What do you need to check in about?"

"If I need to do something," Darius said. "Princly duties and all." He rolled his eyes. "But if we hurry, we'll catch him in his study. Sound good?"

Selene nodded, finishing her tea. She wasn't particularly hungry, though she still grabbed some bacon to eat as well. "Princely duties." She repeated. "Doesn't sound like much fun."

"It isn't," Darius said, shaking his head. He downed his tea and slid out of bed. "But maybe if you come, it'll pressure him into not making me work tonight." He grinned at her.

Selene laughed and placed her cup on the tray. "Well then I have to come." She slid out of bed as well and walked over to him. Selene hugged him tightly and pressed her lips to his for a soft kiss. "I wouldn't want you working all night." She smiled and stepped away to search for something to wear in the bag she had brought.

Darius smiled, watching her. "And I'll send someone to get the rest of your things tonight too," he told her. He went to the closet and grabbed several clothing items, nice, but casual.
