What is THE NINE WORLDS?
The One-Tree links a shimmering archipelago of worlds across the multiverse. Its branches expanding constantly, pulsating with energy for millennia. Yggdrasil, so vast, visiting so many planets and realities that no one person can see its complexity. 'The Nine Worlds' room is a place where adventurers can meet and begin an adventure. It is a tavern style of play where players meet and go off to adventure in worlds unknown. The focus of the room is to be a springboard to other adventures played within the room.
You have placed your name in the great registry, opening the gate to 'The Nine'. Vital to your participation/writing here at 'The Nine Worlds' is to be familiar with the term 'Collaborative Story-telling'.
Imagine yourself around a fire, weaving a tale with your comrades-in-arms about a battle or siege, or coronation of a king. Each participant, each character, contributes a little more to the story because each character has a unique perspective. Thus the tale is told in parts, exclusively from one character's perspective- using the third person narrative. Once the first person their character's part, the next person around the fire tells their character's part .
Heroes, bent on glory and gaining experience (and thus power), truly hate it when their companions take over their part of the story. Therefore, collaborative storytelling is about only narrating what your character can influence, do, think, and react NEVER taking over the actions of others. Imagine if Beowulf is singing of his battles with Grendel about the fire of a cavernous mead-hall. Out of nowhere, 'Fred' the squire takes over the tale, telling everyone about what Beowulf did, or worse, Grendel!
The Swords swung, the axes thrown, the night of drink and revelry would end in blood!
It is important to remember what your character can do to the world, and not exceed those bounds. Rivaling the gods is an affront and may summon the wrath of the gods, and begin the cycle of Ragnarok.
