Yahoo Chat: Only Users 18 or Older

Yahoo are to take new measures to eliminate the threat of sexual predators in their chat rooms, in an agreement made with New York State Attorney General, Eliot Spitzer.

Yahoo are required to pre-screen all chat aliases before listing them publicly, and require users to be 18 years or older--this will prohibit younger gamers from role-playing in Yahoo chat.

The internet giant has also abolished a chat room named teens. On the plus side, Yahoo has agreed to make it easier for users to report threats to child safety.
